As anyone would expect, the focus of New York Bridal Fashion Week always revolves around the latest designer gowns and what brides-to-be can expect to see during their hunt for the perfect wedding dress. Those gorgeous gowns, however, depend on a whole cast of talent to parlay a designer’s latest collection to the masses. This includes hairstylists, makeup artists, stage crew, models, and – of course – photographers. The most talented photographers can bring a gown to life and create memorable moments in fashion, not only in terms of style, but from an artistic standpoint as well.
For five years, Grace Ormonde Wedding Style magazine has had the absolute pleasure of working with photographer Josh Wong during New York Bridal Fashion Week, and there’s no doubt you’ve seen his work several times in print and online. Not only does Josh consistently deliver a portfolio of incredible runway images for our Editor’s bridal features, but he also conceptualizes various shoots during our team’s private appointments with designers, poses models according to his own vision, and captures candid backstage shots that are an iconic portrayal of what happens behind the scenes of a fashion show. There’s a reason why designers want him to photograph their collections and models want to use his images for their portfolios.
Here’s but a small sample of photographs Josh has taken for Wedding Style. Thank you, Josh, for your beautiful work over the years, and for continually showing New York Bridal Fashion Week in such a fabulous light!
