For nearly a century, The Brazilian Court in Palm Beach has been a favorite hotel among the most discerning guests. Nestled within a residential area of Palm Beach, visitors are met with an immediate sense of home and privacy, surrounded by lush gardens and stunning architecture.
One of the hotel’s most charming characteristics is its historic aspect. Not only do the courtyards, fountains, and pool area create an air of timeless luxury – it feels as if you’ve stepped into a bygone era as well. The Grace Ormonde Wedding Style team paid a visit to this beautiful location, and the entire experience was delightfully tranquil from the moment we arrived.
Built in 1926, The Brazilian Court has hosted celebrities, Palm Beach power players, and socialites including Gary Cooper, Greta Garbo, Amelia Hearst, and Marjorie Merriweather Post. The hotel was recently named as a top 2018 destination by Forbes with onsite attractions including the Paul Fisher Art Gallery, the Frederic Fekkai Salon & Spa, and the award-winning Café Boulud.
New York architect, Rosario Candela, is the mastermind behind the property’s design. Rather than adhering to traditional Palm Beach aesthetics, Candela opted for a classic Spanish-Mediterranean style that stood out from the rest. Today, guests can check in to suites with fitting names like Bergman, Astaire, Brando, and Hepburn, as well as one of 80 renovated guestrooms – all, outfitted with mahogany crown molding, oil-rubbed bronze fixtures, imported linens, and Provence-style wood shutters.
For a memorable dining experience, Café Boulud offers incredible food, outstanding service, and a friendly staff. Our dinner included tender octopus with patatas bravas, chili aioli, and herb salad; a light and delicate pan-seared redfish with sweet corn fricassee, piquillo pepper, tomato and pepper emulsion, grilled scallion, and leek ash; an artfully plated nougat bar with pistachio moelleux, honey mousse, apricot gelée, pistachio cream, amaretto tuile, and torrone ice cream; and the meal was served with a 2015 bottle of Regis Bouvier, Gevrey-Chambertin. From romantic dinners for two, to lavish wedding receptions, the culinary offerings at this establishment are truly top of the line.
It’s easy to pass time at the hotel, swimming in the pool with the palm trees creating a canopy, walking through the Paul Fisher Art Gallery, or getting pampered at the spa. Should anyone wish to venture offsite, The Brazilian Court is located within walking distance to Worth Avenue – a must-visit area for shopping, dining, and sightseeing - and the beach. It’s the perfect way to round out your visit.
