GO: How would you describe the architectural style of your property?

A: I would describe The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua's architectural style as a reflection of Kapalua’s rich heritage and natural aloha. The resort is a sanctuary for guests seeking a restorative, luxurious escape with sunlit spaces, and tranquil indoor and outdoor areas awash in calming hues with pops of bright tropical color reflecting the resort’s natural surroundings.

A centerpiece of the open-air resort is the expansive 10,000 square foot reimagined pool experience. It’s the perfect example of The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua’s natural influences as the design is inspired by a famous natural lava rock formation in front of the resort at Makaluapuna Point.

GO: What was the inspiration behind the design of your interiors and guest rooms?

A: The design of the resort's interiors and guest rooms bring the natural beauty of Kapalua indoors, with each guest room showcasing the property’s natural surroundings. This is captured best by the recently debuted Fire Lanai Collection which consists of 33 guestrooms and suites designed with sophisticated, island-inspired décor.

Each guest room or suite features extended lanais with a private fire pit, custom outdoor lounge furniture and a dining table, along with beautiful views of Kapalua’s lush tropical landscape. The interior of each room is awash in soothing earth tones and showcases handcrafted artwork by local artists.
