A: Shutters on the Beach’s location and its world-wide reputation for excellence makes it a popular destination all year. We recommend securing reservations as far in advance as possible. Ocean view rooms in particular are always in high demand.

A: Shutters on the Beach is the ideal location for an elopement, intimate weddings, or a wedding with up to 250 guests. The neutral coastal hues of our color palette and event spaces is perfect, as it is easily transformed for every bride and groom’s dream décor. The Pacific Terrace’s direct view of the ocean is particularly breathtaking for ceremonies and al fresco receptions.

A: The culinary team at Shutters on the Beach searches the globe for the finest ingredients for all of our menus. The focus is on Coastal California cuisine with an international flair, however, almost any request will be accommodated.

GO: What type of activities are available for guests to partake in during a wedding weekend?

A: Santa Monica is a veritable beach playground with countless outdoor activities along 10 miles of bike and walking paths. World class restaurants, eclectic shopping, water sports, art galleries, and the iconic Santa Monica Pier are all within walking distance.

GO: What facilities, restaurants, or catering options do you have available for wedding week events like welcome dinners or post-wedding farewell brunches?

A: We have the Grand Salon, Pacific Terrace, Promenade Room and Terrace, Beachside/Oceanside, and One Pico.

GO: What are some nearby attractions that guests can visit?

A: The greater Los Angeles area has so much to offer beyond the beach. Some of our guests’ favorite trips outside of Santa Monica are to The Getty Museum or Getty Villa, Rodeo Drive, Studio Tours, and the myriad of California’s signature theme parks from Universal Studios to Disneyland.
