Rick Davis became the owner of Amaryllis in 2002, using his award-winning style to transform the company into the success it is today. His signature aesthetic is innovative with a focus on elegance and sophistication; and as an avid gardener himself, Rick’s passion for florals is evident in each event he produces.

Event designer and vice president Christopher Vazquez is the second half of the Amaryllis team with a background that includes theater arts and the restaurant industry – experience that provides greater insight into the world of luxury events and design.

Rick and Christopher’s business partnership extends beyond creating luxury Washington D.C. weddings together, as the two were happily married in October of 2014. From raising various flocks of exotic fowl at their Southern Maryland farm, to tending to their lush vegetable and flower gardens, the couple shares the same passion for their work as they do for their everyday lives together. Rick and Christopher have even grown and harvested many of the specialty flowers used in their weddings and events.
