I met my husband two weeks before I was due to leave New York and move back to Dublin. A mutual friend threw me a going away party and sure enough, when I locked eyes on him it was love at first sight! We spent every minute together during the two weeks before I left and we traveled back and forth between Dublin and New York trying to see each other as much as possible.

After six months I moved back to New York to be with him and one year to the day from when we first met, in Dublin Ireland, Arthur proposed.

We knew we wanted our wedding to be a very special event, not just for us, but also for our guests, half of whom were making the huge effort to fly from Ireland to be there. One of the most important elements for us was finding a photographer that we would feel comfortable and relaxed with. Michelle and Carl from Keepsake Memories Photography were amazing, and truly captured the love and joy we felt on our wedding day.

We originally had looked for a venue in Montauk but as soon as we drove up the driveway of Oheka Castle, we knew this was the place. The stunning gardens, fountains, ballroom, and wonderful staff made it the perfect venue for us.

Probably the easiest element of my wedding was finding my dress. As a fashion designer I knew exactly what I wanted but I also wanted my fiances input. He looked through bridal magazines with me and showed me his favorites. When I went to Kleinfeld to try dresses with my parents and bridesmaids, I immediately tried on my fiances favorite pics and two dresses in I had found ‘the one’!

The day of our wedding could not have been more perfect. The sun was splitting the stones and there was not a cloud in the sky, perfect weather for our outdoor ceremony.

I will never forget the moment I walked down the aisle with my father. I was shaking like a leaf! Seeing the happiness on, not only my husbands face, but also on the faces of my friends and family filled me with so much joy. It was without a doubt the greatest day of my life.
