    PATRICIA SIMONE & ADAM GARTENBERG

March 11, 2017 in New York, New York

Adam Gartenberg was 24 years-old and Patricia Simone was 25 years-old when they met in January of 2012 in New York City. Set up by mutual friends, their first encounter took place at the Dream Hotel where they immediately hit it off. The two have been together and in love ever since.

"PATRICIA SLIPPED OUT OF HER BRIDAL GOWN AND SURPRISED HER NEW HUSBAND WITH A DRESS CHANGE INTO A FLIRTY NUMBER"

For their four-year anniversary, the couple was at home in their Flatiron apartment when Adam teamed up with Patricia’s family’s golden retriever, Wilson, for the ultimate surprise. Wilson appeared with a ring box attached to his collar, as Adam knelt to one knee and popped the question.

Over a year passed, during which Adam and Patricia enjoyed being engaged and planning their wedding. Both felt it was the perfect amount of time, allowing them to revel in their engagement without being too distracted by the chaos of the wedding planning process. The wedding planners at State of the Art NYC helped make it a seamless and stress-free experience as well.

Patricia and Adam’s wedding weekend included a Friday night rehearsal dinner in a private upstairs room at The Wayfarer restaurant in Midtown Manhattan. A walk-thru of the ceremony was held beforehand at the Pierre Hotel with their immediate families and bridal party. After dinner, Patricia stayed in the Pierre’s exquisite bridal suite with her two older sisters and awoke the next morning excited for the rest of her bridal party and glam squad to arrive. While they were getting ready, the bridal party wore matching monogrammed black and white long flannel shirts from the bride. The bride also gifted them with monogrammed Stephanie Gottlieb earrings, and the groom gave monogrammed suspenders to his groomsmen.

As Marianne Bennet’s singers set the tone for a magical ceremony, the bridal party and both families made their way down the aisle. Flowers and candles from Lewis Konstantinos were beautifully ethereal, and the bride and groom were so taken with the ceremony that they said they’d be happy if that was the end of the festivities. Fortunately, they opted to stay and dance the night away on custom gold dance floor designed by the bride, florist, and wedding planners. Towards the end of the night, when the lights dimmed, and a DJ replaced the live band, Patricia slipped out of her Reem Acra bridal gown and surprised her new husband with a dress change into a flirty number by Naeem Khan.

A few days later, the newlyweds set out on their honeymoon – a trip of a lifetime to South Africa and Mozambique. The most memorable part was being on safari together, surrounded by Africa’s majestic wildlife.
