    KRISTA KIBLER AND JASON JONES

March 26, 2017 in Pacific Palisades, California

It was Valentine’s Day when Krista Kibler and Jason Jones were introduced through mutual friends at a sushi restaurant in Los Angeles. “When we met each other for the first time, I remember thinking Jason must be an 18-year-old male model – I have no chance,” Krista recalls. “Thank goodness he actually was 28. There was no denying the instant attraction and chemistry between the two of us.” The two have been inseparable ever since that unexpected night.

During a trip to Seattle to visit Jason’s family, the couple decided to spend some time at Salish Lodge & Spa in Snoqualmie. “Once we arrived, we had a private room at the top of the waterfall, where Jason got down on one knee and proposed,” Krista describes. “We celebrated this precious moment with a couple bottles of champagne. We were so excited that we ran out in the rain and spent the rest of the evening gazing above the waterfall.

After Jason and Krista’s engagement, the wedding planning process had already begun when they found out Krista was pregnant with their baby girl, Leila. They decided to postpone the wedding until the following year, so Leila could be part of their special day. While it was challenging to plan a wedding after having a newborn, everything came together seamlessly.

“Our wedding day was the perfect Southern California wedding we always dreamed of,” says the bride. “It was on a beautiful, sunny spring day in Malibu at Bel Air Bay Club overlooking the ocean. As if the scenery wasn’t enough, our wonderful friends and family filled our hearts with their love and support. Some came as far as the Philippines and Australia to partake in our special day.”

For Krista, her favorite wedding moment was right before entering the reception. Her new husband took her hand and led her to the living room grand piano, where all their guests were waiting. He then surprised her by singing and playing the piano, performing a song he’d written specifically for that day. Afterwards, everyone transitioned to the dining room to find a gorgeous space adorned with tall floral centerpieces and string lights. Paired with fantastic food and service, it was a glamorous and romantic celebration that the guests couldn’t stop raving about.

“Everything was a dream come true,” says Krista. Having all our friends and family in one place to celebrate our love and creation of our love – Leila – was truly incredible. We really enjoyed having Leila be part of our ceremony, as she was our flower girl being pulled by the ring bearer in a wagon. At one point, the ring bearer fell and everyone gasped; but he ended up making it down the aisle. It made for a lighthearted, humorous moment.”
