    JENNIFER BARNET & LARRY RUDOLPH

July 22, 2017. Sag Harbor, New York

“It was sort of a slow start,” says Larry Rudolph, remembering his first encounter with Jennifer Barnet. “We originally met when Jen was a makeup artist on the Britney Spears tour about nine years ago. We knew each other, but barely.”

With Jen being 24 years old at the time, she was star struck by Larry, who manages the world-famous pop princess. “I was so intimidated,” she describes, “I couldn’t talk.” Jen was also engaged, and Larry was married; so they never imagined anything romantic would transpire. Even when Jen began working as Larry’s assistant, their connection remained purely professional.

“THERE WASN’T A MOMENT WHEN EITHER OF US WERE STRESSED OUT, AND IT WAS EVERYTHING A WEDDING SHOULD BE.”

Years of knowing each other and two divorces later, Larry and Jen’s separate lives synced up to a point where they could take their relationship to the next level. “Neither one of us are big daters, and we had this great affection for each other,” says Larry. Eventually, the two found themselves in New York together, choosing an engagement ring by Corey Friedman.

When planning their wedding, the couple decided to host an intimate summer affair in the Hamptons, where Jen envisioned a chic and romantic ambiance. “I wanted it very glitzy and glam,” she states. “The beauty of our wedding is that we only had 16 people—his side of the family and mine. It was perfect.”

To make sure the wedding day was as stress-free as possible, the bride had their photos scheduled for the day before. “Larry and I had the most magical moment on the beach that day,” she reflects. “After everyone went back to the house, it was just us and the photographer. Our eyes were speaking to each other; I was telling him I felt so connected to him, and he said the same thing. I don’t even have words to fully express how special that was.”

In lieu of the typical wedding vows, the bride and groom stood in front of their immediate family members and spoke to each person individually. Guests also had the chance to share their sentiments, making it an all-inclusive ceremony. The groom had Paul McCartney’s song “Maybe I’m Amazed” stuck in his head, and admits to borrowing some of Paul’s lyrics when it was his turn to speak.

For the bride, one of her favorite wedding memories was with her new mother-in-law. “She leaned over and said, ‘This was so special on so many different levels, but I want to thank you for bringing my entire family together under one roof,’” Jen recalls. “That made my whole day.”

“The problem with big weddings is that you end up playing party host the whole night,” Larry adds. “This was different. This was 16 of the closest people in the world to us. There wasn’t a moment when either of us were stressed out, and it was everything a wedding should be.”

In absolute agreement, Jen says, “There is not one thing that I would change. I felt like a girl in a Nancy Meyers movie, which is exactly what my goal was.”

The newlyweds followed up their Hamptons wedding with a tropical honeymoon in Hawaii, splitting their time between the luxurious Four Seasons Resorts in Lanai and Maui.
