    NATASHA MINASIAN & LUKE TRAGESER

July 12, 2015 in Lake Tahoe, Nevada

Natasha Minasian and Luke Trageser are proof that opposites really do attract. The two met in 2014 at a Delta Gamma and Sigma Pi dance, when they were attending UC Irvine. With Luke growing up in Humboldt, California and Natasha growing up in a large Armenian family who loves throwing parties, to say they came from different worlds would be an understatement.

“I remember pretending to be interested in sports, going out of my way to attend the Sigma Pi football games, only to find he hardly noticed me because he was so focused on his game,” says Natasha. “We dated all throughout college, allowing us to grow up together and become the people we are today.”

LAKE TAHOE WOULD BE PERFECT FOR CREATING THE RELAXED VIBE THAT NATASHA ENVISIONED.

The couple chose to have a destination wedding in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, as Natasha’s grandparents have a home there where they spend part of each summer. With the house being a “home away from home,” Lake Tahoe would be perfect for creating the relaxed vibe that Natasha envisioned. “We wanted to basically force all our friends and family to meet on vacation,” she says. “We wanted to take everyone out of their usual element and bring them together for one giant party.”

With a background in luxury interior design, Natasha loved the wedding planning process and bouncing ideas back and forth with her wedding planner, Felicia. Each detail was carefully considered in order to put together the perfect event.

Traveling to Lake Tahoe was a bit hectic at first, as Luke left his ID at home and the couple almost missed the plane to their own wedding. “He loses everything and I am always late,” Natasha adds. Fortunately, the two were able to make it just in time for a beautifully ethereal wedding, which took place at the Hyatt Regency in Incline Village.

Handmade paper flowers covered the head table, which were designed by Noel Solomon–one of the bride’s friends from her first job in the design world. Guests were also given chocolate party favors designed by the bride’s favorite interior designer, Kelly Wearstler.

The newlyweds did everything they could to enjoy each moment of their special day. “It was the happiest, most exciting moment of my life so far,” says Natasha. “Most of our friends had gotten married and told us how quickly the night passes and how they should have relaxed more. I think we both took their advice to heart and really made the most of it.”
