    JENNIFER PARNES AND AMIR WASIULLAH

April 11, 2015 in Palm Beach, Florida

Jennifer Parnes and Amir’s Wasiullah love story began in college, and they were clearly a perfect match for each other.

The chemistry between them was instant as Amir wined and dined his then-girlfriend, taking her to the best restaurants and enjoying a whirlwind romance.

During their courtship, the couple fell in love with Palm Beach, Florida; so when it came time for Amir to propose, he planned a weekend getaway there to pop the question. When the wedding planning process began, he and Jennifer knew they wanted to have a destination wedding in Palm Beach as well.

“A COLOR PALETTE WITH SHADES OF PINK AND CREAM WAS USED, ACCENTED BY TOUCHES OF GOLD.”

Jennifer and Amir took a very hands-on approach to the wedding preparations, as their goal was to create a beautiful, unique wedding that would also be a reflection of who they are. From the moment they toured the Mar-a-Lago Club, they decided that the illustrious, historic estate was the perfect venue for their wedding, and it had all of the special elements to host a truly exceptional wedding experience.

The most touching moment of the big day was when the bride and groom exchanged vows under a stunning all-white chuppah during the ceremony, which took place inside the grand ballroom. The chuppah’s circular shape was majestic, and its seven columns were decorated with lilies, hydrangeas, and garlands of baby’s breath tied in bows. A wonderful rabbi performed the ceremony, and both families were thoroughly pleased with his respectful and inclusive manner regarding their different religious backgrounds.

After the ceremony, wedding guests sipped champagne and enjoyed hors d’oeuvres poolside at the estate. The food was beautifully presented, and everyone particularly enjoyed the ceviche station–chosen specifically by the groom.

The bride and groom’s vision for their wedding reception was to create a Versailles-inspired crystal palace filled with lavish flowers and romantic lighting. A color palette with shades of pink and cream was used, accented by touches of gold. The flowers were a mixture of roses, hydrangeas, and orchids in crystal vessels. With the lighting, the entire ballroom was transformed into a romantic and intimate space, as glistening crystal chandeliers and warm glowing candles created an unparalleled ambiance.

Prior to the wedding, Jennifer and Amir selected the Powerhouse Band for their reception and worked closely with bandleader Alan James. Together, they carefully selected songs that would enhance the energy of the reception while also including songs that had sentimental meaning. The night was topped off with a beautiful wedding cake and a lavish Viennese dessert table that included a spectacular display of sparklers.

The wedding was exceptionally romantic, and guests felt love and magic permeating the air throughout the entire night. For Jennifer and Amir, their wedding day was the pinnacle of perfection. Mar-a-Lago may translate into “sea-to-lake,” but to the newlyweds it means “a dream come true.”
