    ERICA RHEE AND BRIAN HONG

November 18, 2017. Beverly Hills, California

Erica and Brian met through mutual friends and set up their first date at a coffee shop in Silverlake, CA. “I was feeling really nervous that day, but there was a connection with Brian that felt unique and special,” says Erica.

“By the time I got there she had already sat down at a table. When I arrived, I scanned the room and she stood out immediately. We made eye contact, and I couldn’t help but have the biggest smile on my face. She was so captivating,” Brian recalls.

GRAND CENTERPIECES AND ROMANTIC FLORALS DECORATED THE CRYSTAL BALLROOM

A year and a half later, Brian asked Erica’s parents for permission to marry her. And with that, he took her to Malibu’s El Matador Beach under the guise of having a picnic. After everything was set up, Brian took Erica out to the shore. He waited for the perfect moment to tell her how much she meant to him and how much he loved her, and then he got down on one knee. However, it didn’t end there. Erica was brought to tears when he surprised her with an engagement party later that evening with all their closest friends and family.

Almost immediately, the couple began the wedding planning process, working with Natalie and Anna from A Good Affair to plan their dream wedding. After looking at various locations, the couple fell in love with the iconic and elegant Beverly Hills Hotel. “From the private garden to the mirrored ballroom with its stunning chandelier, we knew that it was the perfect setting,” Erica shares. Once they found their venue, the rest of the details seemed to fall into place.

For the bride and groom, their wedding day was a dream come true. Nerves were high while getting ready, but as soon as they saw each other during the first look, everything came together.

The ceremony proceeded perfectly. Under a beautiful floral canopy, the pair proclaimed their love and commitment to each other before their friends and family. Their fairytale continued at the reception, where grand centerpieces and romantic florals decorated the crystal ballroom. A live band lit up the room, as guests enjoyed their steak and lobster, sipped champagne, and danced the night away. With the help of KLK Photography, every detail was beautifully captured for the couple to look back on.

“Overall, the day went by incredibly fast,” says the bride. “We even managed to fit in a traditional Korean wedding ceremony during cocktail hour!”  “So much happened so fast, but I remember cherishing every minute of it. I felt like I was walking on air,” the groom recalls.

After their wedding, the couple flew to Bora Bora, where they spent ten days relaxing, sipping cocktails, and soaking up the sun.
