A Picture-Perfect Destination Wedding in Mexico

Nicole and Alejandro’s love story began in 2016, when they were introduced by mutual friends at the beach. Even though they came from the same town, they never crossed paths until that casual introduction.

“My initial impression of him was that he was really handsome but also quite shy,” Nicole recalls. “I initially thought he wasn't interested in me because he seemed so reserved, but it turns out he actually was.”

“Seeing her walk down that aisle towards me felt heavenly.”

The immediate sparks were certainly mutual, as Alejandro says, “She was extremely beautiful and funny, yet I felt very intimidated since she was so much more of a social butterfly than I was, and I thought this is going to be so much harder than expected to win her over.”

A few months later, Nicole and Alejandro officially started dating.

A Birthday Proposal

After spending six wonderful years together, Nicole was surprised with the most beautiful birthday proposal.

“In June of 2022,” she shares, “Alejandro took me to one of my favorite restaurants here in Miami to celebrate my birthday. I had made plans with all of my friends to meet later for drinks at a nearby bar where we would continue the celebrations; however, things took a turn when we made a stop at our apartment to change our shoes.

As I walked into our apartment, it was filled with what felt like an infinite amount of white roses and a huge setup of balloons with candles and pictures of us. He got down on one knee and asked me to spend forever with him. After lots of crying and rush of emotions, we went downstairs to our apartment club house were all of my friends, family, and loved ones were waiting in a surprise birthday/engagement celebration. It truly could not have been more magical.”

Once the couple had soaked in their newly engaged bliss, they began their exciting yet overwhelming wedding planning journey.

“From countless decisions and emotions, it was a very tedious process,” Nicole explains. “Thankfully once we secured our amazing wedding planners, it took a lot of the stress and heavy thinking off and we were able to focus on the stuff that really mattered to us.

We hoped everything would come out exactly as we dreamed it would but of course there were some nerves and stress revolving the planning and wedding day since we decided on a destination wedding. By the time November 2023 came around, we were eager for our special day to come.”

Nicole and Alejandro’s destination wedding in Mexico was held on November 18, 2023, and nothing could have prepared the couple for the amount of joy, love, and excitement they experienced.

“The morning getting ready with our loved ones was so special, as well as those butterflies in our stomachs before walking down the aisle,” says Nicole.

“Seeing her walk down that aisle towards me felt heavenly,” Alejandro adds. “I could not believe that was my wife to be walking towards me.”

When the couple walked into their venue, they were speechless. Even after months of carefully planning and curating each bespoke detail, they were still amazed to see it come together for such a picture-perfect wedding celebration.

Everything they had their hearts set on – from the food to the flowers, to the décor and DJ – unfolded without a hitch. The only thing left for the bride and groom to do was enjoy and create some epic memories with their loved ones.

“We danced and partied all night, giving it our all until we could not feel our feet,” says the bride. “And thanks to our amazing photographer, who was able to capture the essence of every single aspect of our most special day, we are able to relive that day over and over just by looking back at our pictures.”
