A FAIRYTALE DESTINATION WEDDING IN ITALY AT LA TORRE DI PILA
When it came to their destination wedding in Italy, Meghan Noyes and Mihai Ivan had a whirlwind wedding planning experience.
“We planned this international wedding in less than four months,” Meghan shares, “which is quite hard for a design and detail focused interior designer. Although it was a tight timeline, I worked nonstop on custom design elements to help make the event, and leading up to it felt as special as possible.
“Everything ended up falling into place and turned out to be a true fairytale wedding!”
From designing the fun invitations with my sister, who is an illustrator (IG @iamnoyes) – to reaching out to a Riccardo Luci in Florence to create marbled leather card holders (which served as the escort card holders and guest take away gift at each place setting) – to the larger-than-life faux floral arrangements to help amp up the whimsy.”
The couple celebrated their nuptials with a wedding at La Torre Di Pila, and the bride wore a timeless wedding gown by Reem Acra with a jeweled bow detail.
“One of the best surprises for the guests was my ring bearer,” the bride adds. “The wedding was international and there were no children who joined from the U.S., so I asked a dear friend of mine if he would dress up as my ring bearer.
The amount of laughter as he walked down to the amphitheater was contagious! We did not have the best weather on our wedding day (down pouring rain, photographer’s car getting stuck in the mud, flooding of tent!), but from the photos, you would never be able to tell. Everything ended up falling into place and turned out to be a true fairytale wedding!”
