THE TOP WEDDING DRESSES OF FALL 2024

Each new season of bridal fashion brings a new perspective and inspiration for current brides-to-be. For Fall 2024, designers are embracing sumptuous fabrics, exquisitely constructed bodices, and generally favoring the bold over the demure. While there are some sheer gowns, still catering to brides who want a sexy number to change into for their receptions, many collections lean more towards creamy satins, layered silks, and various interpretations of volume. The top wedding dresses of Fall 2024 are certainly made for the couture bride, and there’s a dream bridal gown to suit any destination and ambiance.

The New Monarchs

Tony Ward’s Fall 2024 bridal collection, titled “A Game of Two,” is an alluring take on the universal concept that love always wins. Our favorite styles include Stratagem, a strapless scuba wedding dress with a draped waist and statement ruffle; Capture, an off-shoulder bridal gown of silk Mikado featuring a shimmering lining detail beneath a taffeta corset; and Fianchetto, with its pearlescent details and dramatic train made of silk taffeta.

The ”Your Majesty” collection by Kim Kassas brings the spirit of history’s most influential monarchs to life, with seductive yet artful corsetry and coquettish silhouettes. Brides who love the unapologetic grandeur of Marie Antoinette’s closet may choose to walk down the aisle of their own French chateau wearing a voluminous peplum wedding dress from the collection, or select one of the Kim Kassas body suit and train combinations for the ultimate bridal boudoir photo shoot.

Keeping with the realm of regality, several of the top wedding dresses for Fall 2024 stem from Zuhair Murad’s collection. These gowns exude romance and an enigmatic charm that balances “fairy tale” with “modern elegance.” The shapes are timeless, the mood is mysterious, and the wedding dress details are the epitome of couture craftsmanship.

Belles of the Ball

The Art Déco-inspired “Of Diamond Dust” collection by Elie Saab is a stunning expression of old world femininity, reinterpreted with a touch of contemporary glamour. Necklines of the ballet and strapless variety are paired with cascading tulle skirts, crystals, sequins, appliques, and delicate florals, creating the ultimate lineup of bridal ballgowns for Fall 2024.

Viktor&Rolf is a label synonymous with the ultra-modern bride, and their Fall/Winter 2024 lineup is no exception. Bridal ballgowns and mermaid silhouettes are made of dreamy tulle and stretch Mikado, with the brand’s signature florals interwoven throughout the collection.

The French Court

“L’Etoile” by Galia Lahav was practically made for the French Court, with wedding dresses that embody culture, sophistication, and the designers’ signature air of sensuality. The collection draws inspiration from the iconic Arc de Triomphe, which is a symbol of triumph and unity. With wedding dresses ranging from regal bridal ballgowns to sleek gowns covered in celestial embroidery with beads and pearls, the collection is a showstopping ode to The City of Lights.

If there were a museum dedicated to bridal couture, gowns from The Atelier by Professor Jimmy Choo would undoubtedly be on display. These otherworldly gowns will make Fall 2024 brides look like members of the French aristocracy, with “New Age” themes like the cosmos subtly alluded to in the details. Look closely, and you’ll see a universe of stars etched into the fabric of the collection.

Architectural Wonders

Next year’s Ines Di Santo brides can look forward to the designer’s “Modern Perspective” – an artistic study of the relationship between architecture and the urban landscape. Innovative interior construction is used to create a stunning display of corsetry with transparent layers. Translucent beading adds texture and shine to the wedding gowns, combining couture craftsmanship with a strong sense of femininity.

The Fall 2024 bridal collection by Peter Langner successfully combines beautifully architected wedding dresses with another theme that is highly valued by the next generation of brides – sustainability. Aptly titled “The Responsibility of Beauty,” this collection introduces sustainable fabrics, offering a more evolved and ethical approach to the future of bridal fashion.

Alternatively, Reem Acra has revisited the brand’s design DNA, which laid the foundation for their “Elegant Simplicity” collection. Styles have been updated for Fall 2024 brides, with the collection including a lineup of A-line wedding dresses, bridal ballgowns, little white dresses, trains, jackets, detachable hoodies, boleros, and couture accessories for brides to create their own bespoke look.

Love and Lace

Every season needs a new crop of lace wedding dresses to choose from, and Monique Lhuillier has delivered a romantic selection of gowns inspired by a centuries-old garden. Weddings set in Tuscany, the English countryside, and the Loire Valley are the perfect stage for this collection that features baby’s breath, organza, rose motifs, butterflies, and peek-a-boo lacee.

Arava Polak consistently crafts top wedding dresses for every season, with the designer focusing on florals, 3D embellishments, and volume for Fall 2024. For the “Mystery Garden” collection, the team states: “Our collection is a heartfelt celebration of the bride’s natural allure, offering a youthful, fresh, and reimagined take on the modern classic wedding dress. The designs feature blending shades of ivory and blush silk tulles, creating a timeless and delicate ensemble with a hint of glamour.”

YolanCris also caters to the young and free-spirited bride, with the brand becoming synonymous with boho brides around the world. Their upcoming collection includes three particularly showstopping lace wedding dresses with dramatic overskirts, sheer layers, and artistic cutouts.

Timeless Brides

The Fall 2024 collection by Anne Barge is a gorgeous love letter to Nantucket. Inspired by the island’s romantic coastal vibe and timeless sense of elegance, the gowns are comprised of flowing fabrics, intricate lace inspired by seashells, and iconic bridal ballgowns that are effortlessly dreamy.

Rounding out the top wedding dresses of Fall 2024, Toni Maticevski’s new collection perfectly demonstrates the art of restraint. Minimalist gowns are deceivingly dramatic, with fluid draping, exquisite folds, and intuitive sculpting.

Bold Romantics

Despite all the bridal trends that may come and go, some brides simply want a classic wedding dress that will stand the test of time. The Fall/Winter 2024 “Petals” collection by Lihi Hod is dedicated to brides who “move gracefully through life, valuing quality over quantity.” With some of their top wedding dresses including strapless wedding gowns and romantic off-shoulder styles, the collection is an updated take on minimalism, blending modern couture with styles that will effortlessly span generations.

Other brides, however, will tend to resonate more with head-turning bridal gowns with daringly high slits and plunging backs. The “Poppies” collection by Dana Harel is the answer for bold romantics, with ten gowns intended to be worn for each phase of the wedding experience – from bridal showers to all-night wedding afterparties.
