SABYASACHI BLENDS INDIAN CULTURE WITH EUROPEAN INFLUENCES IN HIS LATEST COLLECTION

For 25 years, Sabyasachi has been India's leading luxury house and has designed heritage bridal ensembles for South Asian customers worldwide. Synonymous with opulent and intricate designs that seamlessly blend traditional Indian craftsmanship with contemporary aesthetics, Sabyasachi has developed an incredible following of global clientele – especially in the world of bridal couture.

For this collection, designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee was inspired by J.G. Ballard's 'The Garden of Time'. This collection forges the finest of traditional Indian embroidery techniques with European flavours and motifs to create a new language of bridal wear: Indian but global, traditional yet whimsical.

Intricate thread work in silk floss is liberally layered with pearls, beads, and sequins; amplified with complex appliqués. Using modern technology, layers of printed tulle create a gentle volume around the traditional artistry of zardosi, kashida and wasli. Couture accents with French knots, three-dimensional fabric moulding, and gentle layering of semi-precious stones create wearable modern heirlooms that bring together the traditions of the East and West.

Sabyasachi is India's leading luxury house rooted in heritage, craft, and culture. A celebration of slow authentic luxury, of the handmade and the finest of Indian craftsmanship. A brand that revels in India's legacy but with a uniquely modern perspective, capturing what was and what is, with a single-minded vision to create modern heirlooms. Sabyasachi is the first Indian designer to collaborate with global brands that include Estée Lauder, Christian Louboutin, H&M, Pottery Barn, Starbucks, L'Oreal, Morgenthal Frederics, and Disney.
